• A network time server is required (public network time servers are free)
• Each clock must be configured to the customer’s Wi-Fi network
• Network DHCP (automatic IP address assignment) is required

Pros:

• No network configuration is required
• Clocks operate 15 years between battery changes (no second hand)
• The time zone rules can be factory or customer configured
• A network time server is not required, but can be used if available
• No interference from Wi-Fi communications
• No Internet or network security issues

Cons:

• A master clock is required (additional cost)
• Multiple time zone displays in the same building must be coordinated
