Analog Time Zone Displays

BRG offers two types of wireless analog time zone clocks

Pros & cons of the two systems.

2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Analog Time Zone Clocks

Pros:

  • Uses existing Wi-Fi network (worldwide standard)
  • No master clock is required
  • Clocks operate 15 years between battery changes (no second hand)
  • The time zone rules can be factory or customer configured
  • Lower cost than ISM analog time zone display
    Each clock includes a password protected web server for configuration
  • Any number of time zone displays may be used in the same building

Cons:

  • A network time server is required (public network time servers are free)
  • Each clock must be configured to the customer’s Wi-Fi network
  • Network DHCP (automatic IP address assignment) is required

2.4 GHz ISM Analog Time Zone Clocks

Pros:

  • No network configuration is required
  • Clocks operate 15 years between battery changes (no second hand)
  • The time zone rules can be factory or customer configured
  • A network time server is not required, but can be used if available
  • No interference from Wi-Fi communications
  • No Internet or network security issues

 

Cons:

  • A master clock is required (additional cost)
  • Multiple time zone displays in the same building must be coordinated
